about

Imperii Exsules, the Imperial Exiles, was inspired by the episode entitled 'The Misfit Zanti's' from the 60's Outer Limits TV show. Lyrically, the song takes the point of view of those that executed the exile. The second part known as Galactic Viatores, those who travel in the galaxy, is to create an atmosphere of space travel after the Zanti's were exiled.

lyrics

In the everlasting blackness
Which we thought to be eternal
The air was wrought with screaming
Strange sounds of misfit Zanti

Countless were killed, worthy to tell
Spirits to ash, the Zanti fell
Captured by choice, give in or die
So banished for a thousand years

To send away or confine
Burned, branded, banished Zanti

Countless to kill, worthy to tell
Spirits to ash, the Zanti fell
Captured by choice, give in or die
So banished - for a thousand years

Darkness, however eternal,
Our planet no longer tarnished
Now banished to Earth, woe to thee,
These malcontent, misfit Zanti
To send away or confine
Burned branded, banished Zanti
